Insignia NS-HBTSS Powered Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) - Black for sale online | eBay

In my endless search for affordable audiophile and home theater products I recently happened upon a familiar face in Insignia's new NS-B bookshelf speaker. The reason I refer to the Insignia as a "familiar face" is because it appears, at least on the surface, to be similar if not the same as another affordable loudspeaker I reviewed some time ago from then manufacturer Radiient Technologies -who has since moved on to wireless home theater technology and is no longer selling loudspeakers. The Insignia bookshelf speakers are rather attractive looking with their tapered cabinet a-la Paradigm Signature loudspeakers and high gloss front panel. Unfortunately the visual ties to Paradigm end there for the build quality and materials used throughout are nowhere near equal to that of the Canadian speaker manufacturer. The speakers themselves measure roughly 14 inches tall by nine inches wide and 12 inches deep and tip the scales at a scant 13 pounds. The vinyl wood wrap comes only in a black ash finish, making the Insignia's presentation a decidedly monochromatic affair.

Picking out a new set of speakers is as fun as any purchase gets for your turntable and vinyl collection. The best part are the possibilities that lie in all the features that are included with each option. Whether you want to hook these up to a turntable or just use them for Spotify on your phone or tablet, you should have options that can work with you as your listening habits change throughout the years.

Given my recent post in which I mentioned the Insignia NS-B speakers from years ago, I thought readers might enjoy this look back in time to my original review. This is from my legacy soundadviceblog. Sound Advice product review By Don Lindich. It started when my friend Kenny pulled a speaker out of the back seat of his Subaru. It was a nicely finished bookshelf speaker with a curved cabinet finished in black wood.

With built-in Bluetooth and both analog and digital inputs, this active speaker pair connects to smartphones, computers, and TVs, and lets you easily create a stereo system without a separate amplifier or receiver. Our panelists picked the Edifier SDB as the best sounding of all the powered, wireless bookshelf speaker systems we tested, and yet it was far from the most expensive. The speakers are nicely crafted, but they may be a bit large for some spaces, and their styling is straight out of the s. Serving up a big sound from tiny speakers, the HD3 is the perfect choice when space is tight. Even though the Audioengine HD3 speakers measure only 7 inches high, they put out a surprisingly full sound that won over our panelists.
